ANNEX 1 | Transport networks - Department of Lands and Surveys (Metadata of Data)
Data originated from the Department of Lands and Surveys concerning Road network in Cyprus which is being digitized based on Orthorphotos and Cadastral data.
Road network in Cyprus which is under the authority of the Public Works Department and is divided in four road categories: A, B, E and F.
Airport Locations in points derived from digitization based on the Administrative Map of Cyprus, scale 1:250000.
Airfields (Runways) as polygon features digitized from the orthophoto 2008.
Positions of ports, naval bases, marinas, fishing shelters, etc. Their position has been surveyed from orthophotos or satellite imagery. This layer was created to support the Maritime Spatial Planning.
Positions of Lights in the maritime space of Cyprus. Their position has been surveyed from orthophotos or satellite imagery or GPS survey, and their characteristics have been retrieved from nautical publications or from information coming from the owner. This layer was created to support nautical charts compilation.
Positions of Buoys in the maritime space of Cyprus. Their position has been surveyed from orthophotos or satellite imagery and their characteristics have been retrieved from nautical publications or from information coming from the owner. This layer was created to support nautical charts compilation.
