Data originated from the Department of Lands and Surveys
concerning Utility and Government Services. Data include:
1. Dumping Site Area (positions of dumping sites in the maritime space of
Cyprus. Their position has been digitised from georeferenced plans, and their
characteristics have been retrieved from nautical publications or from
information coming from the owner. This layer was created to support nautical
charts compilation and Maritime Spatial Planning).
2. Landmarks Areas (Buildings identified by the Department of Lands and Surveys
as being important. Classification is based on their use, i.e Schools,
Hospitals, Churches, Public Sector Buildings etc).

Development Department consists of Waste Water Treatment Plants reported to the
EU as part of the Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive 91/271/EEC.
