DOM : High precision digital surface model
The DSM consists of a digital surface model (surface of the ground with vegetation and buildings) obtained in a direct way with points isolated on all the area considered. The nonpermanent cultures, present only at certain times of the year, such as for example the cereal cultures, are not included in the DSM. The method of capture employed is the airborne laserscanning. The altimetric precision (simple standard deviation) of the surface model on unspecified place is better than ± 1.5 m. The density of point is approximately 1 point by 2 m2. The points of the MNS-MO are differentiated in the following way: not vegetation, not of structure, not on the ground.

- Purpose
-
DTM-AV can be used for a large spectrum of applications, wich requiere a precise modelisation of the topographic surface. For examples : as base for orthophoto production, mapping of natural hazards, telecommunication and 3D-visualisation.
