DK INSPIRE AM Areas for Groundwater Protection
Indsatsområder (IO) udpeges i henhold til vandforsyningsloven §11 a stk. 1 nr. 5 inden for udpegninger af følsomme indvindingsområder (SFI og NFI). Indsatsområder lokaliseres, hvor en særlig indsats til beskyttelse af drikkevandsressourcen er nødvendig. Dette vurderes ud fra arealanvendelsen, forureningstrusler og den naturlig beskyttelse ud fra jordens komposition. Inden for indsatsområderne skal kommunerne udarbejde indsatsplaner for grundvandsbeskyttelse, jf. vandforsyningslovens § 13.
