Coral reefs
The map shows documented and located coral reefs of the Lophelia pertusa stone coral. The occurrence of coral reefs is indicated as points on the map. These provide valuable information as a basis for assessing new fish farming consignments, discharges into the sea, landfill, development of petroleum-related installations, and regulation of fishing activities. The data are suitable for the preparation of thematic maps, overview maps, interactive maps, map solutions on the Internet and geographical analyzes. On a web map it is recommended that coral reefs are used in the scale from 1: 500 to 1: 11000000.

Coral reefs are only mapped in some areas. There are large areas that are not mapped and should be mapped. Depths are given in two different ways: one deep for center of registration, or two deep indicating depth range as a range from basic local occurrence to deepest. Precision in depth indication varies from Very good (nearest whole meter) measured from a precise depth map during observation with underwater video, to Approximate (nearest ten meters) estimated by some fishermen. Geographic position is measured by different methods and the precision varies from Very good (+/- 50m) to Approximate (+/- 1000m).
