Externe veiligheid gaat over de risico's voor mens en milieu bij gebruik, opslag en vervoer van gevaarlijke stoffen buiten de begrenzing van de milieubelastende activiteit.



De data voor deze categorieën is afkomstig uit het Register Externe Veiligheidsrisico’s. Het wettelijk register dat volgens voorschrift 11.8 van het Besluit Kwaliteit Leefomgeving voor Nederland in de wetgeving is opgenomen.
