Setul de date conțin informația grafică a punctelor rețelei geodezice naționale de ordinul 0. Punctele RGN-0 sunt amplasate la distanţa de 80-150 km unul de altul pe teritoriul ţării, se determină prin metodele geodeziei satelitare utilizînd măsurătorile GPS în staţiile permanente EUREF şi punctele reţelelor geodezice naţionale ale ţărilor învecinate. Punctele RGN-0 fundamentale constituie baza geodezică pentru construirea reţelei geodezice naţionale
