Amtliches Ortschaftenverzeichnis (VS)

Le répertoire officiel des localités contient les noms, les périmètres et les codes postaux de toutes les localités de Suisse et de la Principauté du Liechtenstein. Les localités sont des zones urbanisées, habitées et géographiquement délimitables, pourvues d’un nom et d’un code postal qui leur sont propres (localités postales). Les localités sont définies indépendamment des communes, bien que leurs limites soient en partie identiques. Les termes de «lieu» et de «localité» sont parfois utilisés comme des synonymes dans le langage courant. Les noms de localités constituent un élément important de l’adresse postale d’un bâtiment.

Das amtliche Ortschaftenverzeichnis enthält die Namen, Perimeter und Postleitzahlen aller Ortschaften der Schweiz und des Fürstentums Liechtenstein. Ortschaften sind bewohnte, geografisch abgrenzbare, zusammenhängende Siedlungsgebiete mit eigenem Namen und eigener Postleitzahl (postalische Ortschaften). Die Ortschaften sind unabhängig von Gemeinden definiert, weisen aber zum Teil gemeinsame Abgrenzungen auf. Ortschaftsnamen sind ein wichtiger Teil der Postadresse eines Gebäudes.

L’éventail des applications du répertoire officiel des localités peut servir: -dans le cadre d’analyses nécessitant l’établissement d’un lien avec la structure utilisée pour gérer les adresses sur le territoire suisse, -en combinaison avec d’autres jeux de géodonnées, -comme arrière-plan géolocalisé dans des SIG et des systèmes de DAO, -pour des analyses statistiques et des simulations de grande ampleur, -comme jeu de données de référence lors de la constitution de systèmes d’information.

Das amtliche Ortschaftenverzeichnis kann eingesetzt werden: -für Analysen, die einen räumlichen Bezug zur Adressierungsgliederung der Schweiz benötigen, -in Kombination mit weiteren Geodatensätzen, -als visueller Hintergrund zur Orientierung in GIS- und CAD-Systemen, -für grossräumige statistische Analysen und Simulationen, -als Referenzdatensatz für den Aufbau von Informationssystemen.
