Podaci su nastali aerofotogrametrijskim i LIDAR snimanjem 2012. i aerofotogrametrijskim snimanjem 2018. godine. Podaci obuhvaćaju adminstrativno područje Grada Zagreba, a nastali su za potrebe strategijskog i prostornog planiranja te upravljanja i razvoja Grada. Izradu podataka naručuje Grad Zagreb, upravlja podacima i objavljuje ih.
