Drinking water abstraction points

Съгласно Закона за водите и Закона за здравето, компетентен орган в Република България в областта на питейните води, водите за къпане и минералните води, предназначени за пиене или използвани за профилактични, лечебни и хигиенни цели, в т.ч. и на бутилираните минерални води е Министерство на здравеопазването и неговите регионални структури – 28 регионални здравни инспекции (РЗИ)

Отговорни за изпълнението на изискванията на законодателството за питейните води, включително и провеждане на мониторинг на качеството на питейната вода в пълния му обем, са водоснабдителните организации, в качеството им на структури, осъществяващи дейността по водоснабдяване за питейно-битови цели.
