Bio-geographical regions - Annex 3.
The objects of Bio-geographical regions are shown at different scales through the view service. Boreal and Baltic Sea bio-geographical regions are shown at 1:2 000 000 - 1:10 000 000 scale, objects of natural vegetation bio-geographical region are shown at 1:250 000 - 1:2 000 000 scale, environmental stratification bio-geographical region objects are shown at 1:250 000 scale.

Inspire dataset for Bio-geographical regions theme is created using input data sets: 1) bio-geographical regions (data source – the National Atlas of Lithuania, 2014, Volume I, author: P. Kavaliauskas; cartographer: V. Krikščiūnienė), 2) The general vegetation map (data source – the National Atlas of Lithuania, 2014, Volume I, author: P. Kavaliauskas, R. Pakalnis; cartographer: V. Krikščiūnienė), 3) sea reagions for the territorial waters of Lithuania (data source – Georeference Spatial Data Set of the Territory of the Republic of Lithuania at scale 1:250 000 According to the Requirements of the International Project EuroRegionalMap EuroRegionalMap 1:250,000), data provider – the National Land Service under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania; 4) bio-geographical regions, data provider – European Environment Agency.
The output data set is created by State Enterprise GIS-Centras, Lithuania.
