NVEs aktsomhetskart for flom er et nasjonalt datasett som på oversiktsnivå viser hvilke arealer som kan være utsatt for flomfare. Potensielt flomutsatte områder vises som polygon på kartet, men inneholder ikke informasjon om den årlige sannsynligheten for flom.

Aktsomhetskart for flom er utviklet med et detaljeringsnivå tilpasset kommuneplannivået. Kartet egner seg godt som et første vurderingsgrunnlag i konsekvensutredninger, risiko- og sårbarhetsanalyser (ROS) og til fastsettelse av hensynssone i kommuneplanens arealdel. Kartet inneholder ikke informasjon om den årlige sannsynligheten for flom og kan derfor ikke alene brukes i reguleringsplanarbeid eller for å vurdere utbygging etter sikkerhetskravene i byggteknisk forskrift (TEK17).

The level of the susceptibility map is adapted to the municipality's general planning (municipal planning level). The maps indicate nothing about likelihood, and so they cannot be used alone in zoning plan work or to assess development pursuant to the safety requirements in the technical building regulations. \\n\\nThe Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate guidelines "Flaum- og skredfare i arealplanar" recommend a general procedure for assessing the risk of flooding in connection with spatial planning and development in areas where the risk of flooding is not mapped in greater detail.\\n\\nIf you use the susceptibility map as a basis for assessment when working on the municipal plan, you will have every chance of ending up with a plan for a changed climate in 2100 as regards the risk of flooding.
