Thickness model of unconsolidated deposits
The thickness model of unconsolidated deposits is a digital data set that describes the thickness of the unconsolidated deposits. This product is derived from the bedrock elevation model. The subtraction of the bedrock surface from the terrain surface (digital height model, DHM25) gives the thickness of unconsolidated deposits.

The model was created primarily on the basis of existing borehole data. Its quality varies according to differing densities and qualities of the input data. It is impossible to determine the absolute quality, because it depends on not only the quality and density of the input data, but also on the interpolation method and the geological interpretations of the authors.
