The information concerning buoyage and beaconage is collected by Shom and maintained in its databases. This information is provided by the Lighthouses and Beacons office of the Direction générale des affaires maritimes, de la pêche et de l'aquaculture (DGAMPA), but also by other organisations such as autonomous ports, port managers, local authorities, French Navy or acquired directly at sea by the Shom's survey units.
