Methodological documents are published only in Lithuanian in the Official Statistics Portal section https://osp.stat.gov.lt/en/web/guest/gyventoju-ir-bustu-surasymai Population and Housing Census.Administrative data are obtained, updated and used in accordance with legislation under the arrangements signed by Statistics Lithuania and administrative data holders.

Statistical data are collected by filling in the one-time statistical Survey https://apklausos.stat.gov.lt/documents/10184/13006/GTK-01/ae037091-4bd7-41c1-9371-ac3f313fe564 GTK-01(only in Lithuanian) of the Population's Ethnicity, Mother Tongue and Religion, approved by Order No. DĮ-198 of 14 July 2020 of the Director General of Statistics Lithuania, in https://apklausos.stat.gov.lt/en/titulinis Electronic Population Survey System e. Statisticsfor residents for the population or professionals by interviewing respondents online, by direct survey or by telephone.Analysis of changes of the results obtained is made; reasons for significant changes are identified. Aggregated statistical data are compared with those from the previous censuses, other surveys carried out by Statistics Lithuania. Arithmetical and logical control of primary statistical data is performed. Missing values are imputed using missing value imputation methods.Census 2021 is based on administrative data sources. Quality of data received by Statistics Lithuania is ensured by the holders of administrative data. In Statistics Lithuania the quality of data is ensured by checking the completeness of administrative data and analyzing the results obtained. The obtained results are analyzed and, if necessary, the data provider is contacted, data editing is performed.In the process of statistical data collection, processing, analysis and dissemination of statistical information, Statistics Lithuania fully guarantees confidentiality of the data submitted by respondents (households, enterprises, institutions, organisations and other statistical units), as defined in the http://www.stat.gov.lt/en/konfidencialumo-uztikrinimas Confidentiality Policy Guidelines of Statistics Lithuania;

The State Data Governance Information System Data Security Regulations and Rules for the Secure Management of Electronic Information in the State Data Governance Information System, approved by Order No DĮ-202 of 27 August 2021 of the Director General of Statistics Lithuania.Statistical Disclosure Control methods developed aspart of the Specific Grant Agreement ‘Harmonised protection of census data in the ESS’were used for Census2021 grid datato ensure statistical confidentiality and prevent unauthorised disclosure.
