Datová sada byla odvozena z databází podniků povodí pro povrchové vody. Popisná data byla doplněna na základě informací Výzkumného ústavu vodohospodářského T. G. Masaryka, v.v.i., Prostorová i popisná složka byla upravena podle směrných dokumentů a požadavků Evropské komise na reporting podle Nitrátové směrnice v roce 2024.
