INSPIRE - Fredede Fortidsminder, areal
De fredede fortidsminder er en delmængde af Slots- og Kulturstyrelsens database over Fund og Fortidsminder og udgør ca. 33.000 ud af i alt ca. 200.000 registreringer.
Grundlaget i registreringen er Nationalmuseets berejsning af hele landet fra 1860'erne til 1920 samt efterfølgende indberetninger fra de danske museer om nye arkæologiske lokaliteter.
Fra 2008-2013 foregik en nyberejsning af samtlige fredede fortidsminder, hvor der bl.a. foretages GPS-opmåling af samtlige. Disse opmålingsdata er løbende indberettet til Fund og Fortidsminder.
