Knowledge of bedrock plays an important role in the exploration and evaluation of various types of raw materials and natural resources, as well as in water supply, planning and construction of infrastructure, waste storage, land use and environmental planning, construction, alternative energy and assessment of natural hazards of earthquakes and landslides. Bedrock data in the scale range of 1:50,000 is suitable for municipal planning.
