Deze dataset bevat gegevens van nederlandse grondwatergebruikssystemen uit de Basisregistratie Ondergrond (BRO), geharmoniseerd naar het INSPIRE thema Faciliteiten voor productie en industrie.
Een grondwatergebruiksysteem is een constructie in de ondergrond waarmee direct of indirect gebruik wordt gemaakt van grondwater. Onder direct gebruik valt het onttrekken van grondwater of het infiltreren van water in de ondergrond. Bij indirect gebruik wordt de warmtecapaciteit van het grondwater gebruikt: een bodemenergiesysteem.
Het betreft hier vergunningsplichtige of meldingsplichtige grondwatergebruiksystemen.
