Cadastre of contaminated military sites

All sites contaminated with waste caused by the DDPS are listed in the public cadastre of contaminated sites of the DDPS. About 550 target areas and about 2,000 contaminated operational sites, landfills and accident sites are registered in the cadastre of contaminated sites. If the contamination poses an environmental hazard, these sites are remediated in accordance with the Contaminated Sites Ordinance (CSO).
