Sämtliche mit Abfällen belasteten Standorte, die durch das VBS verursacht wurden, werden im öffentlichen Kataster der belasteten Standorte des VBS (KbS VBS) geführt. So sind rund 550 Zielgebiete und rund 2000 belastete Betriebsstandorte, Deponien und Unfallstandorte im KbS eingetragen. Geht von diesen Belastungen eine Umweltgefährdung aus, so werden diese Standorte gemäss der Altlasten-Verordnung saniert.

Le cadastre officiel des sites pollués du DDPS répertorie tous les lieux d'accidents, dépôts et autres sites comportant des rebuts du DDPS, soit deux milliers en tout, ainsi que quelque 550 zones de buts. En cas d'atteinte à l'environnement ou de danger, ces sites sont assainis selon l'ordonnance sur les sites contaminés.

Tutti i siti inquinati da rifiuti generati dal DDPS sono iscritti nel registro pubblico dei siti inquinati del DDPS (CSI DDPS). Nel CSI DDPS sono registrati circa 550 settori di obiettivi e circa 2000 siti aziendali, discariche e siti di incidenti inquinati. Se questi siti costituiscono un pericolo per l'ambiente, essi sono sanati conformemente all'ordinanza sui siti contaminati.

All sites contaminated with waste caused by the DDPS are listed in the public cadastre of contaminated sites of the DDPS. About 550 target areas and about 2,000 contaminated operational sites, landfills and accident sites are registered in the cadastre of contaminated sites. If the contamination poses an environmental hazard, these sites are remediated in accordance with the Contaminated Sites Ordinance (CSO).
