Podzemni geotermični pogoji se ne glede na lego vodonosnikov prikazujejo s primernimi geotermičnimi kartami. Ta karta predstavlja pričakovane temperature v globini 1000 m in je izdelana s podatki iz 302 vrtin. Izdelana je na podlagi izmerjenih temperatur v dostopnih vrtinah po celi državi. Ker pa je temperaturno polje odvisno od geološke sestave v globinah in tektonskih značilnosti, je potek izoterm rezultat številnih vplivov, kot so toplotne prevodnosti kamnin, prepustnost in razpokanost kamnin, ki se vsi odražajo v izmerjenih temperaturah v vrtinah. Porazdelitev vrtin, ki so bile uporabne za meritve temperature, pa je zelo neenakomerna in po globinah različna. Po temperaturah v globini 1000 m je močnejša pozitivna anomalija v severovzhodnem delu Slovenije, predvsem med Mariborom in Mursko Soboto ter naprej do meje z Madžarsko in pri Lendavi ter v manjšem vzhodnem delu krške kotline. V severovzhodnem delu države je ta posledica tanjše Zemljine skorje in višjega konduktivnega toplotnega toka iz plašča Zemlje.

The underground geothermal conditions can be presented, irrespective of the aquifers' position, with the appropriate geothermal maps. This map represents the expected temperatures at a depth of 1000 m and is made with data from 302 boreholes. It is made on the basis of measured temperatures in accessible boreholes throughout the country. However, since the temperature field depends on the geological structure in the depths and tectonic characteristics, the course of the isotherms is a result of many influences, such as thermal conductivity of rocks, permeability and fracturing of rocks, all of which are reflected in the measured temperatures in boreholes. The distribution of boreholes, which were useful for the measurement of temperature, is very uneven and different as regard the depths. Following the expected temperatures at a depth of 1000 m a stronger positive anomaly is in the northeastern part of Slovenia, especially between Maribor and Murska Sobota and further to the Hungarian border and at Lendava, as well as in a smaller eastern part of the Krka basin. In the northeastern part of the country the anomaly is the result of the thinning of the Earth's crust and greater conductive heat flow from the Earth's mantle.

Purpose
Purpose

Namen je izboljšati vpogled v geotermične razmere v globinah. Z najnovejšimi geotermičnimi kartami je pridobljen boljši vpogled v geotermično polje Slovenije, predvsem v večjih globinah.Rezultati raziskav so potencialno uporabni pri načrtovanju bodočih bolj podrobnih raziskav za izkoriščanje geotermalne energije. V končni fazi to pomeni določitev mikrolokacij za vrtanje raziskovalnih globokih vrtin in eksploatacijskih vrtin.

The purpose of the maps is to improve insight in the geothermal conditions in the depths. With the latest geothermal maps better insight into the geothermal field of Slovenia has been obtained, especially at greater depths. The research results are potentially useful in planning future more detailed studies for the exploitation of geothermal energy. Ultimately, this means determining the micro locations for drilling deep exploration boreholes and exploitation boreholes or wells.
