Wild reindeer habitat areas

Datasettet inneholder data fra nasjonale villreinområder. På Norges fastland finnes 24 villreinområder, hvorav ti er utpekt som nasjonale. Disse er Forollhogna, Hardangervidda, Knutshø, Nordfjella, Reinheimen-Breheimen, Rondane, Setesdal-Austhei, Setesdal-Ryfylke, Snøhetta og Sølnkletten. \\n\\nDatasettet viser yttergrenser for villreinbestandenes biologiske leveområde. I tillegg vises funksjonsområder der dette er kartlagt. Funksjonsområdene i datasettet er trekkvei og trekkområde, beiteområde, kalvingsområde og brunstområde. Den største polygonen for hvert villreinområde viser yttergrensen for leveområdet. De mindre polygonene innenfor leveområdet er funksjonsområder. \\n\\nAdministrative grenser er ikke inkludert i datasettet.

Purpose

The dataset shows habitats and function areas for wild reindeer that should specifically be taken into account in spatial planning, etc. Dismantling or disruptive measures should be avoided in the case of municipal planning, and land use objectives that help to preserve the areas should be selected. Zones requiring special consideration with guidelines (the area element) and provisions (the zoning plan) may also be used to highlight this. Conflicts involving locations of national or significant regional interest may provide a basis for objections to cases pursuant to the Planning and Building Act.
