Seismic Stations Network from IPMA, Portugal
The portuguese national seismic network consists of a large and varied set of seismic stations comprising sensors of various types (broadband, short and strong-motion), high dynamic acquisition systems and real-time data transmission or near real-time through satellite and internet (mobile and fixed). The purpose of this device is the monitoring and surveillance of seismic activity throughout the national territory and surrounding areas, as well as to contribute to the seismic monitoring on a global scale and as an early warning system for tsunamis.
