La carta è stata realizzata scansionando la Carta Altimetrica e dei Movimenti Verticali del Suolo della Pianura Padana e georeferenziata nel sistema di coordinate regionali (UTM* ED50), in seguito sono state digitalizzate in formato vettoriale (poligonale) le seguenti aree:- Aree Lagunari.- Aree con quote inferiori ai -2 metri.- Aree con quote comprese tra -2 e 0 metri.- Aree con quote comprese tra 0 e +2 metri.- Aree con quote superiori ai +2 metri.Il risultato finale è una suddivisione in classi altimetriche della pianura emiliano-romagnola fino alla quota di +50 metri.
