Per Bosco si intende un terreno coperto da vegetazione arborea e/o arbustiva e/o cespugliati di specie forestale, di origine naturale od artificiale, a qualsiasi stadio di sviluppo.Appartiene al tema "Aree agro - forestali" della BDTRE (Base Dati Territoriale di Riferimento degli Enti) che descrive le aree destinate a fornire produzioni legnose o non legnose correntemente considerate di tipo forestale, ospitanti formazioni arboree od arbustive, aree temporaneamente prive di soprassuolo a causa di utilizzazione o per evento accidentale, superfici investite a vivaio forestale, le coltivazioni agricole, gli orti, i seminativi, le aree non coltivate ed i pascoli.
