Il dataset rappresenta sistemi di videosorveglianza fluviale della Protezione Civile - Regione Piemonte.Il Sistema di Videosorveglianza della Sala Operativa di Protezione Civile della Regione Piemonte, disponibile via web all’indirizzo http://videoidro.dyndns.org/videoidro/, è nato, a partire dal 2005, dalla Collaborazione tra la Direzione Patrimonio Tecnico e il Settore Protezione Civile e Sistema Antincendi Boschivi (A.I.B.) con la finalità di essere utilizzato per il monitoraggio di aree idraulicamente a rischio lungo le aste fluviali più importanti. Il sistema è stato sviluppato a partire dal 2005 con un primo nucleo di cinque video postazioni sperimentali fisse. Successivamente ampliato fino alle attuali di 23 unità fisse e tre unità nomadiche, che garantiscono anche servizi di video streaming per la CMR di Protezione Civile.
